Mike was born in San Francisco where he lived for his first 8 years. The family then moved to Sonoma county and eventually to Marin where Mike attended High School. His wife Vera is from Hawaii and the East Bay. They were married in 1970 and have lived in Sonoma county since 1974. They raised two daughters, Christy and Michele. Mike had a long career in law enforcement. Vera's career outside the home was as a secretary/bookkeeper. Mike's hobbies include wood working, baking bread, playing the ukulele, tending to their small farm and camping. Vera's hobbies include special time with our granddaughters, volunteering in their classrooms, searching out new recipes to cook, camping and dabbling in ukulele with Mike. They very much enjoy spending time with their granddaughters. Mike became a committed Christian in 1989. Since 1995 he has served as an elder. He served as a deacon a few years before serving as an elder. He enjoys being part of a church that is putting into practice what we are learning from God's word. |
